Documentation and Publications Wing conducts 2-day Cultural training program

Documentation and Publications Wing conducted a two-day training program om the importance of culture. The program invited all those coordinators from Kashmir who organize cultural program at district and zonal level in their districts.
Noted social and cultural activist Zarif Ahmad Zarif spoke on the importance and usefulness of culture in his particular way. He drew attention to the safety of 5,000-year Kashmiri history. 
"Education is not only a means of transferring information, but it is also the biggest means of transferring its culture," Zarif said. "The child has a lot of means of getting information about culture. This has further responsibility on the teacher to pass on the right information to the child."
Syed Humayun Qaiser, a renowned broadcaster and former director of All India Radio Srinagar, elaborated on organizing cultural programs at various levels and highlighted the necessary accessories for organizing various programs
Cultural programs, he said, have always been important for acquiring knowledge.
Former Cultural Officer, Directorate of School Education Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Shakir, spoke on the need to hold cultural programs in schools. 
Head, Library and Documentation Wing, Hussan Ara Kukroo, said culture is a multi-dimensional entity and it works like oxygen in the body. 
"Without culture, a society would perish in no time," she said. "We must do our bit to preserve our culture in its prestinity."
